Fellowship
Applications for our 2024 Fellowship are now closed. If you’re interested in being a Fellow, please check back in February 2025.
Our Fellowship is focused on introducing recent graduates to: (i) new ways of thinking about impact and (ii) work focused on responding to global catastrophic risks. Applications for this year’s Fellowship open on February 23 2024 and close on April 12 2024.
What will Fellows be up to?
Successful Fellows will need to attend our weekly seminar sessions between mid-June and late August 2024. From early September to late November 2024, Fellows will work on their projects for at least 20 hours per week. The Fellowship is remote but we will arrange for some optional in-person meetups. The deadline for applications is 11.59 pm EAT on April 12 2024.
What are the perks of being an ILINA Fellow?

- You’ll receive a 3500 USD scholarship for your participation in the program.
Who can apply?
We’re primarily looking for exceptional candidates who:
- Have completed their undergraduate degree (or are set to complete it by August 2024).
- Can set aside at least 5 hours per week from mid June to late August 2024.
- Can set aside at least 20 hours a week from September 1 to November 30 2024.

You don’t need to be studying/ have studied a particular course to be a competitive candidate. We’ll consider your application no matter your course of study!
What sort of person are we looking for?
Our ideal candidate would be anyone who:
- Can think carefully and clearly.
- Strongly believes in rationality.
- Is self-motivated and intellectually curious.
- Is keen to have an impactful career.
- Is interested in research.
Application & Selection
The application will require:
- Filling in an application form.
- Uploading your research proposal.
- Uploading any complete research paper/ class paper/ dissertation/ project report you’ve previously worked on.
- Uploading a 2-page CV.
- If shortlisted, you’ll take part in a 45-minute interview with ILINA team members.

We expect to select up to 8 fellows this year. All applicants will know the outcome of their application by June 5 2024.
